At Secure Move Management we found our passion in helping you or your aging loved ones as you transition to a retirement community, assisted living facility, or a smaller- more manageable home. We honor your history by gently guiding you through the down-sizing process, maximizing the use of space in your new home, and finding a profitable alternative for removal of their treasured items that you choose to leave behind. As an impartial third party, a senior move manager is more likely to get things done much faster than the families that decide to do it themselves. This is a major life change that has potential to take both a physical and emotional toll on a client, so it is our goal to minimize the chaos and make this transition as seamless as possible for the entire family.

We are able to inspire excitement for our client’s new life by conducting research on their new neighborhood, arranging activities relevant to their interests, and referring them to local services.

  • Assist in creating your personalized Secure Move Management Checklist and Planner, Move Budget, and floor plan
  • Provide de-cluttering services to assist in reducing items for new home
  • Assist in inventory/photograph and disbursement of all items to be sold, donated, passed down to family or discarded properly (including storage facilities)
  • Manage Yard/Estate Sales
  • Assist in interviewing and collecting estimates from movers, painters, flooring specialists, plumbers or any other service provider needed to prepare your home for sale
  • Liaison between all service providers to coordinate seamless performances by all
  • Stage Home for Sale
  • For Employer: check for time off allowed for moving, company assistance plans or other benefits provided by your employer
  • For kids: arrange to transfer school records. Enroll in new school.
  • For family: arrange to transfer medical, dental, legal records. Ask for referrals.
  • Assist in change of address including USP as well as notifying friends and family through change of address cards.
  • Assist in researching exciting things your new community based on personal interest
  • Assist in scheduling time for a farewell event with neighbors, friends, and family.
  • Confirm start and stop of all utilities and services
  • Do home inspection for final repairs
  • Confirm travel arrangements, hotel reservations, and confirm pet boarding and assisted in packing for travel.
  • Supervise loading and unloading of belongings. Direct placement of items according to the floor plan.
  • Provide professional packing/unpacking services that make quick work of all those boxes including removing all packing materials.
  • Install organizing materials for any space of the home that suit your design and budget.
  • replicate previous furniture groupings and arrange dresser tops, table tops, kitchens, bathrooms, closets, and drawers
  • stage your new home with your existing items and/or new items—shopping and referral services are available, including picture and curtain hanging
  • guide you in the selection of paint colors, fabrics, and space design
